I'm married to the lovely Cameron. I have a Bsc with honours in Pure Maths/Computer Science and a Phd in pure maths (computational matrix group theory) from the University of Western Australia.
I have chronic fatigue syndrome, which means I don't get out of the house much. I also have a whole heap of food issues. The noticeable effect my frequent bouts of illness have on my online interaction is tactlessness (above and beyond my usual fairly high level) and getting behind in my email etc.
When I'm able to, I work doing data-y stuff for the government.
You can probably work out my interests from this site, my delicious links and livejournal, they're pretty typical for a girly maths geek. (They also change much more frequently than I update this page)
I originally created this site back in 1997 because I decided my Isobelle Carmody page needed somewhere to link from, and have tried to incorporate into it all the things I feel homepages should have. The past decade or so has been a slow process of coming to terms with the fact that rainbow text on a black background is not, in fact, cool, and that while surreal and random links may work for radiohead they do not work for me.
